The high speed winds have a lot of energy in them as kinetic energy, due to their motion. The driving force of the winds is the sun. The wind energy is harnessed by making use of wind mills. The blades of the wind mill keep on rotating continuously due to the force of the striking wind. A large number of wind mills are installed in clusters called wind farms.
