Paper-II of only those candidates will be evaluated who meet the cut off for Paper-I. Only those candidates who qualify in both Paper I and  Paper-II will be called for Interview.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in all Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions.
All candidates who apply by the last date will be assigned Roll numbers. These will be communicated to them or placed on the website of the concerned Regional Office at least two weeks before the date of the examination. 
Candidates must carry at least one photo bearing ID proof in original such as Driving Licence, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Identity Card issued by University/College, Income Tax Pan Card to the examination center, failing which they shall not be allowed to appear in the examination.
Scrutiny of Documents will be taken during Interview / Document verification.
Candidates will be recommended for appointment on the basis of their aggregate score in Written exam and Interview. All posts carry All India Service Liability (AISL) i.e. selected candidates can be posted anywhere in the country.
Admission Certificates (ACs) for the Examination indicating the time table and also venues of examination for each candidate will be issued to all applicants about two weeks before the date of examination by the respective regional
office of SSC. Candidates can download the ACs from the concerned SSC Regional / Sub-regional offices website. Such facility will be available about two weeks before the examination.

Candidates, who are unable to download their Admission Certificates or do not receive their Admission Certificates at least one week before the date of the examination, should contact the concerned Regional Office with details
such as Registration ID, Transaction ID for obtaining the Admission Certificates.
Examination Centers: The examination will be held at 24 cities -- Allahabad, Patna, Lucknow, Kolkata, Port Blair, Gangtok, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Bengaluru, Kochi, Delhi, Jaipur, Guwahati (Dispur), Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Panaji, Ahmedabad, Raipur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Jammu, Srinagar and  Leh -- in 9 regions / states across the country on 2 June 2013.
Travel Allowance: No TA will be provided for the Written Test.

Probation: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years, during which they they would be required to undergo training. On completion of probation the candidate, if found fit for permanent appointment, will be confirmed to the post

Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee of Rs.100 has to be paid through CRFS stamps available at all the Departmental post offices.  The stamp should be pasted on the application form,  in the space provide, an got cancelled from the post office of purchase, with date of purchase and name of post office clearly visible, such that the impression of cancellation partially overflows on the application form.

Female, SC / ST candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.

SSC Notified 279 Various Vacancies with Cabinet Secretariat


Staff Selection Commission (SSC) issued notification for recruitment to 279 various posts – 229 Group B Non-Gazetted and 50 Group C Non-Gazetted posts with the Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India. Interested candidates can apply online thrugh SSC’s website till 17 April 2013.

NOTE: The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST candidates by 5 years and OBC candidates by 3 years.
Candidate should possess the prescribed educational qualification and age as on 1 January 2013.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be done through a 3 tier process.
Tier 1 examination will be qualifying examination. In case of tie between 2 or more candidates, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of date of birth i.e. older candidate will be placed above the younger one. Candidates qualifying in tier 1 will be called for tier 2 and those qualifying in tier 2 will be called for tier 3 i.e. interview. The medium of examination will be English.

    SSC Declared Final Results for Recruitment of SI in CAPF and ASI In CISF, 2012

    Staff Selection Commission announced results for the recruitment to the posts of Sub-Inspectors in CAPF and Assistant Sub Inspector In CISF, 2012. The written examination was (Paper I) conducted on 27 May 2013. The Paper II was held on 29 July 2013. On the basis of performance in written examination, 6613 candidates were qualified for Interview for the SI in CAPFs/ASI in CISF. The commission had decided to prescribe a cut off of 25% in interview for UR and 20% for other categories.

    SSC has cancelled Paper-II and Paper-III Combined Recruitment for Assistant Grade III in FCI 2013

    Staff Selection Commission has cancelled Paper-II and Paper-III of Combined Recruitment for Assistant Grade III in General, Depot, Technical and Account Cadres in the FCI, 2013. The Paper II and Paper III were held on 3 February 2013. The staff selection commission has decided that re-examination for all registered candidates will be held on 07 April 2013. The Paper II will be held in forenoon and Paper III in afternoon.
